CBD Surpasses Kim Kardashian, Veganism, And Beyonce In Google Search Interest
According to cannabisMD, CBD has become more popular than Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, and Veganism in Google search interest.
cannabisMD is an online library providing health and medical information on CBD and medical cannabis.
It was told by Joshua Neilly, CIO of cannabisMD, to Benzinga that in 2018 CBD grew by over 260 percent regarding online popularity, whereas Beyonce and Kim Kardashian remained at the same position with a slow downward trend with respect to last year.
In April 2018, CBD surpassed the Beyonce and has maintained its position since then with continuous growth.
CBD passes Kim Kardashian in September, A few months later.
Michael Klein, CEO of cannabisMD, said that consumers’ interest in CBD continuous to increase at double with every passing year. And marketplace is flooding with more products –creating huge mess and confusion with different results depending on quality of a specific product.
It took CBD until February 2019 to surpass the popular topic of veganism, two subjects which share a similar audience.
Kelin said, “we are also seeing forming group by associating CBD and specific topic. For instance, CBD and sleep, or CBD and anxiety.
“We are also seeing communities forming around specific topics and CBD,” Klein said. “For example, CBD and anxiety, or CBD and sleep. Members of these communities are searching for an authority voice to direct them through their journey of discovery – and this is spot where cannabisMD plays a significant role. In the end, we want the consumers to be educated and safe.”

A Recent Study: CBD Will Not Cause A Failed Drug Test, CBN Will
It is found in a study from the University of Utah Health Sciences Center that a persone who takes marijuana will not fail a drug test, But a person who takes CBN will.
According to researchers, these study findings– which were presented at the 71st AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo– may rescue people form the outcomes of failing a drug test.
Researchers studied the mechanism by which CBC,CBN, CBG, and CBD would react against the Beckman Coulter Emit II Plus Cannabinoid tests and Microgenics MultiGent Cannabinoids test.
These tests were conducted by adding 1,000ng/ml of each cannabinoid to three batches of clean urine.
CBN had a considerable reaction with the Beckman Coulter Emit II test, but CBD, CBC, and CBG did not cause a false positive in any either test.
Further investigations exhibited that the Emit II test reacted with as little as 100ng/ml of CBN.
In a statement, lead researcher Grace Kroner, Ph.D., said that these results will help in expalining the results from drug screening immunoassay.
According to him, the physicians and laboratorians can consider that if the patient get a positive from an immunoassay, when they realize a patient is taking CBN. On the other side, Providers can also be more sure when they get a positive marijuana result that the CBD oil is not the only reason for it.
These findings always depend on assay, though, so the field have to keep this in mind.”
Sailors Are Banned By CBD From Using CBD
Sailors had been banned from using CBD in a memo released by Navy on Wednesday.
The Navy confess that the hemp-derived products became legal for civilians due to passing of the 2018 Farm Bill; however, the branch’s policy does not permit for their use.
A press release about the memo states “the passage of the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 has not affected the Navy policy, and all marijuana or hemp derived products are still banned. All the CBD and hemp products are strictly forbidden for use by sailors, although currently deemed legal for civilians in some states.”
The release proceeds to give the reasoning behind the policy, which accounts that the CBD products are not regulated by the FDA, making it impossible for people to know the concentration of cannabinoid in the product.
Specifically, a sailor could be test positive for THC after using a hemp-derived products.
In this case, a Sailor could receive an “Other Than Honorable” discharge, which could “affect the benefits and employment opportunities for future veteran.
The same day, the employees of NASA were also get warned about using CBD products, on the basis of the same reasoning that the NAVY did.
The NASA employees could be fired if they test positive for THC.
